On January 28, 2020, constituents from all different SAS departments met with Dean Beth Wenger to discuss some of the most pertinent issues that all graduate departments face on campus. From an earlier climate survey that SASgov conducted in the fall of all SAS departments, we compiled data on some of the most pressing topics that served as the basis for discussion today, which included a need for financial resources and finance visibility, creating accountability for advisor/student expectations, and mental health and wellbeing on campus. A big thank you to our VP of Policy, Mimi Hacking, for leading an incredibly productive meeting and for creating this space for us to share our voices.
